Oral Cancer Screening is performed by the dentist
each time you have a dental exam. The dentist will check your head and
neck for anything abnormal. He will then check all of the soft tissues in
your mouth, including the sides of your tongue to be sure there are no early
warning signs of oral cancer. As with any cancer, the key to surviving oral
cancer is early detection. Everyone should be checked at least once each
year for signs of oral cancer. Those who are at greater risk - those with
a family history of cancer or those who use tobacco or excessive alcohol -
definitely need to be sure and have an oral cancer screening at least once a
year. Call our office for an examination today. For more information
