At Dental Visions, it is our desire to see that your first visit is a pleasant
one, and that you leave having your expectations met. It will help if you
arrive at your first visit appointment about 15 minutes early so that you can
give us some information about yourself, your medical history, and any insurance
you may have. If you currently take medications, please have the names and
dosages of the medicines you take, so we can be aware of these as we plan your
treatment. Except in cases of dental emergencies, we will normally plan to
gather information about you, determine what primary concerns you have, and
begin to develop a treatment plan to address these concerns. We will also
normally need to take X-rays to give us information about your current state of
dental health. If you have had complete X-rays taken in another office in
the last year, it would be helpful if you would ask that office to forward
X-rays to us before your visit. In most non-emergency cases, it is best if
your first visit is with the Dental Hygienist for a dental cleaning, complete
X-rays, and a complete exam by the dentist. This will allow us to give you
the best information about your dental health and the best treatment plan to
resolve your dental concerns.
